# Operators who build.

> TachyonShift builds AI and cloud systems, runs them for customers, and governs them, with a senior engineer leading every engagement.

TachyonShift started as a managed cloud practice. Customers asked for AI in production, the missing piece was governance, and we built UnifAI. The same team now builds AI systems, runs them, and governs them.

## Why TachyonShift

A tachyon is a hypothetical particle that moves faster than light. We took the name as a standard: shift the customer's timeline forward. A working version in weeks, on real data, means value starts months sooner.

## The team

**Kevin McDonald, CEO.** Spent his AWS years working with enterprise customers and the partners that run their clouds, which is where TachyonShift began: best-practice engineering by default, tightened for each customer. U.S. Air Force Academy graduate with a UCLA Anderson MBA. AWS Certified Solutions Architect.

**Tom Miller, Board Advisor.** Former Vice President at Long View, where he drove AI and cloud adoption across a $500 million technology services business that earned Microsoft Cloud Partner of the Year twice during his tenure. Managing Director at North Highland, leading enterprise transformation for Fortune 500 clients. Executive MBA, University of Texas at Austin; BA, Dartmouth.

**Neha Desai, VP of Customer Success.** More than a decade turning business goals into delivered technology: six years leading transformation projects at The Bridge (now North Highland), and earlier consulting at Hitachi Vantara. Certified Scrum Master. UC Berkeley.

## Accountability

Every engagement has a named senior engineer, a written set of success metrics, and an operating agreement. You always know who to call.

## Our Values

How we work, and what you can hold us to.

- **Customer Value First.** Every product decision starts with understanding customer pain points and measuring success by their outcomes. We build solutions that create measurable business value, not just technical features.
- **Execute with Velocity.** "A good plan violently executed now is better than a perfect plan next week." (General George S. Patton Jr.) We move fast, make reversible decisions quickly, and learn through action rather than endless analysis.
- **Full Ownership Mindset.** We own problems end-to-end and think beyond departmental boundaries. When something needs improvement, we fix it regardless of whose "job" it is. We challenge ideas constructively and commit fully to execution.
- **Results Drive Recognition.** We measure success by outcomes, not activities. Talent recognition is based on contributions, capabilities, and impact on our mission. We focus on what moves the needle: solving customer problems and building platforms that transform industries.
- **Technical Depth.** We understand how our systems actually work, not just the high-level concepts. Deep technical knowledge enables better decisions, faster debugging, and more innovative solutions. We never stop learning new technologies.
- **Centralized Strategy, Decentralized Execution.** We align on clear strategic direction centrally, then empower teams to execute with autonomy. Local decision-making authority enables rapid response while maintaining coherent company-wide objectives.
- **Build & Optimize.** We solve complex problems with elegant automation. Innovation comes from questioning assumptions and finding systematic ways to achieve better outcomes. Every tool we build becomes part of our competitive moat.
- **Integrity.** We do the right thing even when nobody is looking. We tell customers what we know, what we do not know, and what it will cost. Our word is the product.
- **Respect for Every Person.** We treat everyone with dignity and listen first, whether they are a customer, a colleague, or a candidate. We hire, assign, and promote on demonstrated capability and results.
- **Stewardship.** Your systems, data, and budget are in our care. We spend your money as carefully as we spend our own.
