Case study: A California county

A county film production resource, answered with a working version

In response to a county solicitation, we built and published a live, working, secure version of the county's public film-production resource, moving the start of value forward by six months.

The Shift

Typical path arrives at Resource live. Working version as the response arrives at Resource live, 6 months earlier.

Proportions are illustrative.

The problem

Productions needed a reliable, current place to find filming locations and permits, and the county's solicitation described a public resource to provide one.

What we did

In our response to the solicitation, we built and published a live, working, secure version of that resource, populated with 30 location records researched from official sources.

What it shows

A working version beats a plan. The buyer could use the result instead of imagining it.

What the resource includes

A locations inventory, a jurisdiction and permit directory, role-based contacts, production-tracking measures, and a staff workspace for draft, review, publish, audit, and restore.

How it launched

It launched with 30 location records researched from official sources, each carrying its source and verification date. County staff could try the data tools in a fictional sandbox.

What remains

The contract work narrows to location photography, more locations, owner permissions, and confirmed permitting authorities. Starting from a working site moves the start of value forward by six months.

Name the workflow that costs you the most.
